He was hit by a vehicle, moments before. 'Swordie' is the fond nickname Mercy chose out for Excalibur when they first met - he was too stubborn to call him by such a silly name. It's so messily done because I was crying heavily the entire time I worked on this, my apologies. Poor Mercy, he's so sensitive, too...
