Darkness Overcome

Depicted are two characters that go hand in hand. They are nameless. The woman in the front has barely escaped a horrid fate brought upon her by her guardian angel who is leaning against her back, facing away from the viewer. In the original drawing the woman has her hands bound behind her back and is wearing both the necklace and the carnival mask. She is being led towards a likewise discuised vampire by her angel who is presumably about to hand her over for some sort of price. As my submission I decided to draw the result, which is that her guardian angel decided his reward is not worth giving up all that he stands for. He's fought off his disappointed customer and his subject collapsed safely onto the ground. She will wake up without the knowledge that she was ever in any danger or that guardian angels and vampires exist. [keywords:Competition 2012 Topic Character (Single)]
